In Germany, IAESTE is organized in various Local Comitees which are mostly consisting of students who contribute to the organization on a voluntary basis. The Local Comitees are responsible for sending students of their region abroad as well as receiving students (interns) from other countries. They also advertise and get in contact with local companies to create new IAESTE internship positions for foreign students in their area.
The overall management of IAESTE in Germany is handled by the National Comitee (NC) in Bonn. They belong to the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) and coordinate IAESTE in Germany.
Our local committee consists of students enrolled in universities in and around Cologne, who work voluntarily. We like to get to know people from all over the world and are always looking forward to get in touch with new cultures and languages. Therefore we try to make sure your stay here will be interesting and pleasant. During the summer months we organize city tours, cooking and BBQ nights, enjoy Cologne's nightlife as well as visit events of other IAESTE committees all over Germany. These activities will give you the possibility to gain more experiences and of course a lot of fun. We truly wish that you will spend a wonderful time here with us and our other interns.
